The Application Process

Step 1: Submit Your Application

The first thing that you will need to do is submit your completed Application for Admission form by emailing it to [email protected] with a copy of your passport, academic qualifications and evidence of your English language proficiency.

Step 2: We Assess Your Application

The team at Pacific Training Group will then assess your application and once we have everything required we will issue you with a Letter of Offer/Student Agreement.

Step 3: Letter of Offer

We them need you to please read and sign the Letter of Offer/Student Agreement that we supply you and return it to Pacific Training Group. You can send it by email to [email protected]

Step 4: Make Your Payment

Once you have submitted your agreement you will need to make a payment by bank transfer and send a copy of your payment receipt to Pacific Training Group.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS payments.

Step 5: Apply for Your Student Visa

You are now ready to apply for your student visa through our expert Migration agent partner. Once approved, Pacific Training Group will then issue you your COE. To assist you with your application, Pacific Training Group has a global network of agents which recruit students on its behalf. Please contact us for more information.

Entry Requirements

To complete a Course at Pacific Training Group you will need to ensure that you meet some of the requirements associated with our college. Please review the requirements below and if you have any questions whatsoever please do not hesitate to contact a member of our friendly team.

Age Requirements

Students must be a Minimum of 18 years old to study with us.

Education Requirements

Completion of at least 11 years of formal schooling.

General entry

Successful completion of the following in Australia or overseas:

  • A year 11 school leaving certificate
  • A vocational certificate
  • A college or university degree or other evidence of higher education studies

Alternative entry

Students who do not meet the above requirement may gain entry via an admission interview with the Academic Director (or delegate) to demonstrate that they have an aptitude for regimented training in their nominated course of study.

English Requirements

An upper-intermediate level of English or higher.

English Test

Test results must be no more than two years old. This must be provided unless exempted for visa application purposes with the Department of Home Affairs.

  • An IELTS certificate showing a score of 5.5 or higher
  • A TOFEL certificate showing a paper-based score of 527 or an internet-based score of 46 or higher
  • A Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English with a score of 162 or higher
  • A Pearson Test of English (Academic) certificate showing a score of 42 or higher

OR

English Education

  • Enrolment in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course registered to be delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course; or
  • An upper intermediate certificate from an accredited English language school; or
  • Completion of at least 5 years’ study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland; or
  • In the past two years, completion of either the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or a substantial component of a course leading to a qualification from the Australian Qualifications Framework at the Certificate IV or higher level, in Australia and in the English language while holding a student visa.

OR

PTG Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment: Students who do not have formal evidence of their English proficiency will undertake an PTG LLN Assessment, which is conducted during enrolment assessment.

Equipment Requirements

Laptop computer to access the online learning platform.

Students need to supply their own laptop to participate in training and assessment in class and online.

The laptop needs to be 5 years old or newer, and be equipped with the following minimum requirements:

  • Screen Resolution: 800×600.
  • Operating Systems: Windows 8.1; Mac OSX 10.6; or Linux – chromeOS
  • Computer Speed and Processor: 1GB of RAM and 2GHz processor
  • Screen Readers: PC: JAWS (latest version for Internet Explorer); PC: NVDA (latest version for Firefox); or Macintosh: VoiceOver (latest version for Safari)
  • Software: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Students need to be aware that they need access to the internet to conduct any online learning outside of campus. Internet Speed needs to be a minimum of 512kbps.
