    Identify the required business critical functions, security environment, and critical data and software. Assess the potential impact of a business risk and threats on ICT systems. Identify statutory requirements, commercial requirements and contingency requirements according to the organisational requirements.
  • Evaluate system threats
    Identify and document the internal and external business environment system threats. Evaluate and document risk minimisation alternatives against organisational cost constraints and organisational requirements.
  • Formulate a prevention and recovery strategy
    Evaluate and document the prevention and recovery options against business specifications and cost constraints. Review the industry standard operational procedures and check that the required risk safeguards and contingency plans are in place. Submit a disaster recovery and prevention strategy to the required personnel.
  • Develop a disaster recovery plan
    Identify and document the disaster strategy processes and disaster recovery resources according to cost constraints and organisational requirements. Identify the required cut-over criteria plan. Document a disaster recovery plan, submit it to the required personnel and obtain final task sign off.
