Sonia Ghareeb is one of our trainers here at Pacific Training Group. Asides from the information you can readily see about her in the trainers section of our website, she is also a mother of four, and has dedicated a large portion of her career in the government sector, namely with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the former Department of Social Security (now known as Centrelink). She graciously accepted our invitation for an interview so that we can know more about PTG’s Blockchain program, and her unique approach to education.
What is your teaching style or philosophy?
The way I teach, it is to encourage and empower students. To say to them, “Yes, you can do it.” That they should practice, dedicate time to study, and work hard, because with that, anything is achievable.
How did you find out about PTG, and what pushed you to join the team?
As a mother of four, I have a very busy schedule and wanted to do more remote work from home. I came across Pacific Training Group’s opening online. I’m excited about the Blockchain program since I will be the one facilitating the course in its entirety.
What made you decide to specialise in Blockchain?
Blockchain is the core of any business, and since business is also one of my passions, it’s only natural that I would have a profound interest in it.
How would you explain Blockchain to people who have no idea what it is?
Blockchain is an IT-based system that compiles data from different departments of the organisation. They can then use this data to address multiple issues like innovating existing processes, designing new products, or simply address internal issues like task efficiency.
Why do you think people should be excited by joining PTG’s Blockchain program?
PTG’s Blockchain program is going to give them the fundamentals of what Blockchain is and how it can be used in any organisation to help it progress. There’s always going to be new things to learn since it makes good use of information technology, and it’s very fast-paced.
If there is one piece of advice you can give to people who are interested in a Blockchain career, what would it be and why?
They should be very excited! It’s an area of innovation like no other. It’s the career of the future, and there’s going to be more developments, more programs tailored to fit the needs of every organisation, may it be a business, the government, or the community.
The future of Blockchain is bright! Pacific Training Group has invested heavily in its program so that more students can obtain lucrative careers. As Sonia optimistically put it, everyone should be excited about this opportunity to learn and grow with us!
