Manage Innovation and Continuous Improvement

This short course explores the skills that are needed in an environment where continuous improvement, innovation and learning are promoted. It teaches ways of working within teams that lead toward these objectives, as well as identifying processes for monitoring performance. It will show you ways to get teams to work well together and methods on how communication can be used effectively among co-workers, so that no-one feels left out or unheard. You can also learn how to evaluate continuous improvement systems and establish rewards in order to create an environment where employees are all on board.

What You’ll Learn
  1. Establish ways of working within a team
    Communicate with team members on ways of working that contribute to continuous improvement and how they can be innovative in the workplace. Establish strategies to monitor and evaluate performance and sustainability of key systems and processes.
  2. Identify improvements
    Identify and analyse changing trends and opportunities relevant to the workplace. Identify learning opportunities for the team and communicate with team members on identified improvement needs and opportunities.
  3. Implement innovative processes
    Confirm objectives, timeframes, measures and communication plans are in place and implement contingency plans in the event of non-performance. Confirm that learnings from activities are captured and managed using relevant management systems.
  4. Develop workplace culture and tools for continuous improvement, innovation and learning
    Evaluate continuous improvement systems and processes as well as innovation on a regular basis and establish rewards for continuous improvement, innovation and learning.
